Message to the Youth

Dear Friends,

It all began on 15th August, 2007 when I was awarded with the United Nations Youth Excellence Award at the UN headquarters. Coming back home after receiving the award, I wanted to do something bigger to involve the youth into community service and to make a difference.

My thoughts took in shape of an NGO named Passionate which was launched on 26th December, 2007 with the divine blessings of Bhagwan Shri Satya Sai Baba by Mr. K.R. Suresh Reddy, Hon. Speaker AP Legislative Assembly and Dr. J. Geetha Reddy, Hon. Minister.

With no funds at hand, with opposition from all sides, with no idea of how to run an NGO, no influence, we started off Passionate, but I always belived that the almighty is with us in every step we take. Today Passionate has completed one year and we have taken immense number of projects benefitting the needy and the poor.

I have always belived that today what we need are not enforcement stricter laws but expansion of love and care. We need to love and care the needy around us and share our joy with the less fortunate, as love and care alone can wean away all the problems of the society today. We need to realize that Poverty anywhere is a threat to prosperity everywhere, so it actually pays to be good!!!

The youth today have a greater responsibility and role to play as India needs a change, change in terms of Politics, quality education reaching the poor, equal opportunity for every child, good governance, besides others.

So I invite the youth to be a part of Passionate and make a difference.

Yours Sincerely,

Chaitanya
Founder Secretary
